Seasons of Business: Growth Isn’t Always Public

Raise your hand if you’re ready for some precedented times — had your fill of the unprecedented ones? I’m right there with you. Add to that a steady stream of uncertainty — in climate, business, health — and the urge to pull a blanket over your head can be very real.
And yet… resist we must. At least some of the time. 🙂

These past few months, I’ve been deep in business building and client work: brainstorming, planning, creating websites — and I was honestly shocked to realize it’s been quite a while since I posted on my own blog. Where did the time go?

What I’ve realized is this: I’ve been growing.
Not always in pretty, Instagrammable ways. Not always joyfully. But almost always in ways that were worth it.

Think of little kids as they grow — the growth spurts, the stretching, the new clothes, the discomfort, the mood swings! And then, the joy of new skills and new heights.
My business has felt like that lately. It’s been a season of growth — sometimes painful, often quiet, but steady and real.

For me, this season has been more root growth than bloom. I’ve been building infrastructure: better systems, clearer processes, stronger standards, and future plans. It hasn’t always shown on the surface, but it’s setting the foundation for bigger blooms to come.

So I’ll ask you: what season are you in right now?
Are you laying foundations? Doing some spring cleaning? Decluttering, rethinking, preparing to bloom?
Or are you mid-bloom — and could use some help figuring out how to stretch, expand, or increase visibility?

Wherever you are, let’s gather up those ideas, half-formed plans, and quiet goals — and give them the attention they need and deserve.

As Hamlet says:

“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

So no matter the swirling times, let’s do our best to get up, show up, think positive, and stretch toward the sun — together.

I have always been a goal-oriented person, so setting and achieving goals comes naturally. SEO is so important. No one will see your content without good keywords. Don’t forget the hashtags! With technology moving so quickly, it feels harder and harder to keep up. When I say the word coach, what pops into your head? Maybe someone with a clipboard and a whistle yelling “Hustle!” from the sidelines. Or maybe that one person in high school who believed in you a little more than you believed in yourself. Most of us get what a coach is when it comes…

There’s a simple idea in finance that most people understand instinctively, even if they’ve never heard the term for it. Money today is worth more than the same amount of money later.
